IN GOD'S NAME, a CBS primetime special produced in association with the acclaimed French filmmakers Jules and Gedeon Naudet, will explore the complex questions of our time through the intimate thoughts and beliefs of 12 of the world's most influential spiritual leaders. These diverse and powerful voices offer provocative, compelling and enlightening perspective on myriad issues in our post-9/11 world, including the rise of terrorism, fanaticism, intolerance and war. The two-hour special will be broadcast Sunday, Dec. 23 (9:00-11:00 PM,ET/PT) on the CBS Television Network.

The 12 leaders featured in this special, in alphabetical order, are:

CELEBRATION OF ABRAHAM

The Fifth Annual Celebration of Abraham will take place from 3 to 5 p.m. on Sunday, January 27, 2008, at St. James Catholic Church, 1275 B Street, Davis. The event is free and all are invited.

Since the tragedy of September 11, 2001, Christians, Jews and Muslims in Yolo County have gathered annually to break bread together and to share their common belief in the God of Abraham. At the 2008 Celebration, representatives of the three faiths will express their views on this year's theme: "Between Fear and Trust" -- how can people of good will come to trust each other in fearful times?

Each year the Celebration adopts a project designed to help those in need. This year the Celebration, in connection with the Community Group on Sudan, is collecting money to buy solar cookers for families in refugee camps in Darfur. The solar cookers will directly benefit the refugees by reducing the need for women to leave the refugee camps to collect wood for their cooking fires. They also will allow refugees to heat water to the temperature needed to kill parasites and bacteria in the water, and thereby reduce the high rates of infant and child mortality in the camps. The solar cookers are manufactured in the U.S. and shipped directly to the refugee camps. Providing 2 solar cookers for a family costs $30. Those who wish to support this project may do so at the Celebration.
